I have messages left in my old voicemail system, how can I retrieve them?

Do you still have old voicemail in the carrier inbox?
Is the voicemail light (look like O_O) notification constantly on, even though you're now on YouMail?

To check from your old voicemail, simply dial your old voicemail provider's phone number from your cell phone and you will be connected to your old voicemail system.


If you do not know your old voicemail's number, please locate your cell phone provider below and follow the instructions. (Don't forget to Reactivate your connection to YouMail!)

T-Mobile:

  • Dial (805) 637-7243 from your cell phone.
  • Follow the prompt.

 

Nextel:

  • Dial your area code and prefix then 6245 from your cell phone.
  • For example: If your cell phone number is (555) 456-5555, you would dial (555) 456-6245.

 

AT&T/Cingular:

  • Dial ##004# and press [SEND] from your cell phone to temporarily disable your YouMail call forwarding.
  • Dial your own cell phone number to access your carrier's voicemail.
  • Dial *004*17142043114# then press [SEND] to re-forward your voicemail to YouMail.

 

Verizon:

  • Dial *73 and press [SEND] from your cell phone to temporarily disable your YouMail call forwarding (you will hear a series of beep and it will disconnect).
  • Dial your own cell phone number to access your carrier's voicemail.
  • Dial *7117142043114 and press [SEND] to re-forward your voicemail to YouMail.
