Disabling 'Please Speak Clearly' Prompt

    Steps to disable the 'please speak clearly' portion of your greeting

    Your callers may hear, "Please speak clearly. Your voicemail is being transcribed by YouMail" at the end of your voicemail greeting. This indicates to the caller that the message is being transcribed and encourages them to speak clearly so that your transcriptions can be as accurate as possible! However, if you wish to disable this feature, this article will detail the steps to do so. 

     

    Steps for Android 

    • After opening the app, tap the menu bars then Settings.
    		 WhatsApp
    • Scroll to and tap on Voicemail transcription.

    • Toggle off Ask to speak clearly? and save.

    Steps for iPhone 

    • Tap the menu icon in the top left (☰), then select the gear icon at the bottom left corner. 
    • From the settings menu, tap Voicemail Transcription.

    • Toggle off Ask to Speak Clearly? and save.

    Steps for the web

    • Sign into the account at YouMail.com.
    • On the left of the screen, tap on Settings.
    • Select Voicemail Transcription from the dropdown. 
    • Scroll to Greetings and hit Edit.
    • Uncheck the box and save.
