Why do I need to register my number for Business Messaging?
To protect consumers from unwanted messages, carriers are now separating personal (consumer) messaging from business (non-consumer*) messaging. Businesses must register their brand and type of messaging they intend to perform with the Campaign Registry**. This is done so that business messages can be routed in accordance with the guidelines provided by CTIA and prioritized as legitimate traffic by the cellular carriers which increases the likelihood of delivery to your recipients.
