How to Verify Activation on Your iPhone

    Are you having issues with activating YouMail on your iOS device? 

    This article will assist you in ensuring that YouMail is correctly activated, whether you are a brand-new subscriber or someone who is troubleshooting an issue and looking to reenable your activation. 

    Please Note: If you have iOS 17's Live Voicemail enabled, YouMail will not be properly activated. Follow the steps here for help.

    Navigate to Settings 

    • Open the YouMail app and tap the shield icon in the bottom of the screen.

    Verify Activation 

    • Toggle over to Voicemail in the top-right corner, then select Call Forwarding.

    Initiate the test call 

    • Select Status

    • Then, tap on Start Test Call

    • YouMail will attempt to call you; make sure to decline the call

    • If you see the Successful screen, tap Done to go back to the app. Your voicemail is correctly being forwarded to YouMail!

    Otherwise..

    • If you see the Test Call Failed screen, your voicemails are not being forwarded to YouMail. One of the troubleshooting articles on our Help Center may be able to help. Please see below:
