Only certain plans on Cricket have access to conditional call forwarding, subscribers must forward to a local number rather than the general deposit number.

To set up YouMail on the New Cricket GSM plans: To forward unanswered calls only (conditional call forwarding): Press **004* followed by your YouMail deposit number and # symbol. Once you have dialed it into your phone press "SEND" and wait for a confirmation tone or message.

Another option is to call Cricket, confirm that you have "conditional call forwarding," ask them to set it to your deposit number, and have them do a test call to see if YouMail picks up.
If they are not able to set-up a forwarding number, or you are not get greeted by YouMail, Cricket has blocked conditional call forwarding on your calling plan.
In such a case, please inform Cricket that you would like to use YouMail instead of their voicemail system. User demand has led to carriers opening up their services to YouMail in the past.
