How to Set Up Status Greeting – Help Center

Status Greeting

The Status Greeting is a premium feature, available to our YouMail Professional subscribers. It is part of the Smart Greeting that allows options other than "unavailable" to be said. Use them to let your callers hear your current status.

Here are some examples of the Status Greetings:

"Hi John, Mary is currently on vacation until September 19."

"Hi John, Mary is in a meeting until 3:00 PM."

"Hi John, Mary is out of the country."

Status Greeting:

You can setup your Status Greeting from your online account. Sign in via YouMail.com.
Via the left-hand menu, click on Greeting Summary then select Edit Smart Greeting.
Under the Basic tab, You will see Status. Click the drop down arrow and choose a status. You can set the status to expire, by selecting On and then setting a date and time below. Select Save to update your Smart Greeting (ensure you have your Smart Greeting set to Main greeting or applied to your Extra Line).

If you want to completely update your Smart Greeting, consider submitting a Custom Recording Request here, which is included with your paid professional subscription! Be sure to change the drop-down menu from Simple to Custom.
