YouMail utilizes your carrier's Conditional Call Forwarding feature to send your unanswered calls to YouMail. When your phone is set up for conditional call forwarding, it will ring normally allowing you to answer the phone. If your phone is triggered as busy, unanswered, or unreachable, your carrier will forward your call to the number you have set up for those options (in this case, YouMail).
This ensures that your phone will ring so you have the option to answer or decline the call before any missed calls are forwarded over to YouMail.
If YouMail is no longer picking up your calls, your call forwarding may have been disconnected. If your test call is failing and your call forwarding is not working, please try our interactive help guide to activate YouMail!
