There could be a number of reasons for the delay in receiving voicemails that stem even outside of YouMail. Data connection, wifi connection, third party applications and device OS can all conflict with the retrieval of your messages if configured incorrectly. In this article, we will just focus on what we will call routine maintenance for your android phone’s applications. What I will explain can be done with most applications to “refresh” the connection and clear out unnecessary temp data. Please follow the directions below.
1. Clear your phone's cache: Go to your phone's settings > Apps/Applications > YouMail > Clear Cache + Force Stop
2. Check your connection security settings in the YouMail app: Tap the three lines in the top left corner for the Menu > More > Advanced Settings > Connection Security > "Always"
3. Check your push notifications settings: Tap the three lines in the top left corner for the Menu > Settings > Messages > Push Updates = <Checked>
4. Refresh the app Three dots in top right corner > "Refresh"
You will also want to make sure you're either on WiFi or at least have a solid data connection. You can check the strength of your data connection by opening high-data usage apps like YouTube and Facebook. If they are not experience any lag, your connection should be good.
