It can be frustrating to experience delays with your voicemail. That delay may occur for a variety of reasons – most likely due to issues outside of the YouMail app. Data connection, WiFi connection, third party applications or device OS can all conflict with the retrieval of your messages if configured incorrectly.
Fortunately, we can help!
First, let’s do some quick routine maintenance for your android phone’s applications to essentially “refresh” the connection and clear out unnecessary data. Please follow the simple directions below.
1. Clear your phone's cache: Go to your phone's Settings > Apps/Applications > YouMail > Clear Cache + Force Stop
2. Check your connection security settings in the YouMail app: Tap the three lines in the top left corner for the Menu > More > Advanced Settings > Connection Security > "Always"
3. Check your push notifications settings: Tap the three lines in the top left corner for the Menu > Settings > Messages > Push Updates = <Checked>
4. Refresh the app: Tap the three dots in top right corner of the app and then click "Refresh"
Additionally, make sure you're either on WiFi or at least have a solid data connection. You can check the strength of your data connection by opening high-data usage apps like YouTube and Facebook. If they are not experience any lag, your connection should be fine.
If you are still having problems, please submit a ticket to our support team.

@TrueDevilDog When you activate YouMail on your phone, you are forwarding your missed, unanswered, and busy calls to YouMail so we can act as your voicemail. I will be sending you an email about your inquiry shortly.

I'm not getting my voicemails an youmail is not connecting.
@Kat Try uninstalling then reinstalling the app on your phone. If your callers are not hearing your YouMail greeting, then you might have to update your phone's call forwarding. Follow this link for instructions: http://ow.ly/OzHYQ
The voicemail from Youmail I have the account work perfectly; for my cellphone # I cannot have access to my voicemail from straightalk which is my provider. Every time someone call me or I call my cellphone, the greeting came out with the woman youmail voice, telling: I need to setup my voicemail.
I already call straighttalk, they said they cannot fix it, because youmail blocked the access to my voicemail, the only way to get it fix it's closed the account with youmail.
@Joffrealfredo You will have to reactivate YouMail to play your YouMail greeting. Follow this link for instructions: http://ow.ly/OzHYQ
YouMail did not block any of your voicemail settings. We took the place of StraightTalk's voicemail service, but if you want to deactivate YouMail at any time, your carrier can do this for you, if you ask them. We recommend not mentioning YouMail when asking your carrier for help because most carriers do not provide support for third party apps.
