If you cannot sign-up for YouMail, it may be because
- your phone carrier is not supported
- an account is already created for your number
- you are having trouble downloading the app
Is your carrier listed as a supported carrier?
If your carrier does not support YouMail, you will not be able to sign-up for an account or use our services. To find out if your carrier is supported, please check our Supported Carriers Page.
Does the website say you already have an account for this phone number?
The "Phone number already in use" error could happen for multiple reasons, such as the previous owner of your phone number had a YouMail account.
Let us know so we can help get you set up.
If you know you had a YouMail account in the past, you can retrieve your PIN.
If you had an account before and forgot the log-in info for your old account, you can retrieve it by following our Help Center Article: I Forgot My PIN, How Can I Retrieve and Change It?
Are you having trouble downloading and/or installing the YouMail app?
If you are having trouble downloading the app, try to download it someplace with a stronger connection, or on a wi-fi network. If you use an iPhone synced to iTunes on a desktop or laptop, you can try downloading the app on your computer and then sync your phone.
If you are having trouble installing the app, make sure that your phone's operating system is updated to the latest version and that you have enough storage available on the phone's hard drive to install the YouMail app.
