MagicJack does not have conditional call forwarding, but there are two ways to get YouMail to work with magicJack.
You can use YouMail Drop Box:
- Log into your magicJack account at my.magicjack.com
- Click on "Account e-mail"
- Add [YouMailPhoneNumber]@my.youmail.com as an additional e-mail address, and select voicemail.
For Example: If the phone number connected to your YouMail account is 8005551212, you will enter 8005551212@my.youmail.com
Note: Test your connection to YouMail by calling your magicJack and leaving a voicemail. Sometimes, magicJack does not make the change, even if it displays correctly on your screen. In such a case, you need to contact their customer support at http://www.magicjack.com/techchat. They can usually do a reset that gets your YouMail working within minutes.
The other method is to have the magicJack either forward to your cell phone or forward directly to YouMail (depending on whether you want magicJack calls to go straight to voicemail). To do so:
- Login to your myYouMail account (youmail.com > Sign In) and ddd your magicJack number as a YouMail phone here
- Log into your magicJack account at my.magicjack.com
- Click on "Call Forwarding"
- Enter your cell phone number and enable call forwarding (or put in the Youmail deposit number of 714-204-3114 as the forwarding number)
