YouMail Drop Box voicemails sent directly to YouMail spam folder
The best way to ensure drop box voicemails are not sent to the Spam folder is to ensure the sender is added to your YouMail Contacts. Depending on the source of the email, the YouMail system will handle the voicemail message in three ways:
- If the sender's email address is not listed in your YouMail contacts, YouMail will take the audio from the audio attachment sent in the email and transfer it as a voicemail to the Spam Folder. Add the contact and email address to your YouMail contacts or move the spammed voicemail to your Inbox. All future voicemails from that contact will automatically go into your Inbox.
- In the efforts to reduce spam messages, messages from common, free, email service providers automatically drop into Spam folders unless they are added to your YouMail contacts. These providers include:
-
- yahoo.com
- gmail.com
- hotmail.com
- aol.com
- sbcglobal.net
- att.net
- charter.net
- mail.com
- lycos.com
- excite.com
- email.com
-
-
If the sender's email address is from:
- the same domain as your email address associated with your YouMail account, or
- is listed in your YouMail contacts, YouMail will take the audio from the audio attachment sent in the email and place the voicemail into your Inbox folder.
