New to YouMail?
Before trying the troubleshooting steps listed below, please make sure that your carrier is supported and the plan to which you are subscribed (with your cellular provider) supports Conditional Call Forwarding.
Once you've verified that your provider and plan support Conditional Call Forward, here are some common reasons why your activation might be failing:
MMI Error
If you are receiving an MMI error, click here to learn more.
OCN Error
If you are receiving an OCN error, click here to learn more.
Wrong Carrier:
YouMail needs special codes to activate Conditional Call Forwarding (busy, no answer, unreachable call forwarding), and can be different for each carrier. If the carrier you selected is different from the one that provides your cell service, YouMail will not work. Simply go through the activation process again and select the correct carrier.
Note: Just because your carrier is using a major wireless company's cell tower, it does not necessarily mean your actual carrier supports conditional call forwarding. Always double-check with them to make sure it's an offered feature.
Poor signal/Calls Not Forwarding
Your calls may not be going to YouMail for a few different reasons including, but not limited to: poor signal strength, tower maintenance, your phone’s OS is out of date, or you’re traveling abroad. Make sure you are in an area with a strong signal and then try the activation process again. Spotty network coverage can interfere with activation and can result in MMI or OCN errors.
No Ring
It's possible there was a problem calling your phone, but instead the call just didn't ring your phone. Make sure you are in an area with a strong signal then try the activation again.
Answered Call
Oops, did you accidentally answer the verification call? You can easily verify activation again, just decline the call and follow the on-screen instructions.
Interrupted App
If the app was closed or interrupted after it was told to verify activation, the phone may report that the activation failed. Simply retry to verify activation again.
Wi-Fi Calling is Enabled
Wi-Fi calling is designed to allow you to make calls even under poor cellular coverage conditions. Unfortunately, YouMail's activation requires cellular coverage and activation calls over Wi-Fi will not work. Click here to learn how to disable Wi-Fi calling.
Unlocked Phones
Unlocked phones can sometimes have issues activating. Especially, if they had been previously locked to a different carrier. Click here to learn more.
If none of these solutions help with your problem, please submit a ticket and our Support Team will be happy to assist!

I found that even though the test call is failing, YouMail is picking up and the system is working. Before you give up, call your cell from another phone and test it this way.
@Jeff Thanks for the suggestion!
This is not working...I've tried everything at least 10 times on my Galaxy S4 and NOTHING is working. I've logged a ticket with support...please, please, please resolve this issue. I need my voicemail and really want to use this APP, which I paid for by the way, but I can no longer use. It is becoming extremely frustrating.
@Melissa Please check your email for a message from our support team!
The forwarding codes provided by Youmail don't work with all carriers. I had to use *73 and *74 to get Youmail to work with Ting. The *28 code wouldn't work. Check with your carrier.
Not working for me won't download
@Jeff Chase Thanks for your feedback Jeff. If the codes we provide don't work, you can always ask your carrier to enable "conditional call forwarding" to your deposit number, which you can find here: http://ow.ly/Osv3x
@Evelita Marie We apologize for the trouble you are having. Our support team will be in contact with you shortly.

Have tried everything and can't activate... Deleting app
You should be able to add contacts in BULK to assign to a greeting instead of one by one!! This is taking FOREVER!!! .... UPDATE.. My rating went down to one star because I have had to assign contacts to greetings FIVE times in the last two months and I have a ton, and as my previous complaint states, there is no option to do so in bulk. One more time and I'm deleting this app. This is a great app but theses issues I cant deal with!!
@Sergio I will be sending you an email about your issue shortly.
@Lkubowman You can definitely assign a greeting to multiple contacts. You do not have to select the contact one by one and assign it. Follow this link for instructions: https://support.youmail.com/hc/en-us/articles/200477508-How-to-Assign-or-Change-Greetings-on-the-Web
YouMail you make it too obvious... you only wants us to pay for the service...I have been using it now for a while and, have had trouble ever 2 to 3 months, it's like you guys do those update and change some things just to give us trouble so, we could pay for it. Not cool with me (like in the shark tank) and for those reasons I'm out.
@Gio We apologize for any trouble you had with YouMail. Our support team has sent you an email. Please let them know if you are experiencing any other issues.
