Reporting Spam via the Android App

    Report Spam on the Android App

    YouMail’s Smart Blocking feature prevents robocalls, telemarketers, spammers, and other unwanted calls from getting through to you. If you receive a call from a number that is a spammer that was not blocked, you can report it as spam directly from the app. The more reports made against a number, the better we are at identifying similar calls and blocking them. To report a number, follow the instructions below:

        Notes: 

    • We recommend declining all unknown calls so that they are registered in your YouMail History. This makes reporting the number easier. Calls that do not reach your voicemail before hanging up or calls that are answered will not show in the History tab.

    Navigate to History

    • Open the YouMail app and select the three bars in the upper left corner

    • Find the caller you wish to block and tap the three dots in the upper right corner.

    Report and Submit 

    • Select Report Spam/Block.

    • Select Report Spam
    • Write any relevant comments (i.e. type of spam call) and Submit
