If you run a small business, non-profit, or team project, centralizing all of your calls will simplify your life and increase your professionalism. The Auto-Attendant feature gives you the ability to create your own call routing menu. You can add up to 9 phone numbers to your Auto-Attendant menu with single-digit keypad extensions to transfer your calls. However, you can not add option 8 because that is for conference calling.
You can enable Auto-Attendant on your main or on your extra lines. If you enable auto-attendant on your Main Line it will ring and if you do not answer then it will go to your auto-attendant greeting. If you set up auto-attendant on your extra line then it will go to the greeting first and the phone will not ring until they select the menu options.
Please be aware: When Auto-Attendant is enabled, it will take priority over all greetings. Even if you have assigned a unique greeting for specific contacts, the Auto-Attendant will play for all callers.
