Everything regarding your Auto-Attendant menu is controlled here in your settings menu.
If you're setting up Auto-Attendant for the first time, follow these instructions. If you already have Auto-Attendant enabled and need to update it, please skip this next paragraph.
- First, turn on Auto-Attendant. Go to the settings menu and click Turn On Auto-Attendant.
- On the next page, you can set up your greeting. Select whatever audio you want to use from the drop-down menu. If you choose to use the Smart Greeting, you'll be able to customize the connecting phrases for each extension. If not, you'll need to make sure that whatever greeting you use has all the necessary information included.
- Enter the number you want to forward to and select how long you want the call to ring for. The default extension is 0 but you can choose specific extensions and add multiple numbers by clicking Configure a more complex menu. Once you've added all the numbers you want, click Save and your Auto-Attendant menu will be active.
- Now that your Auto-Attendant menu is active, you can edit it at any time. In your Auto-Attendant settings menu, click on the Pencil Icon to edit the extensions and phone numbers in your menu. You can change the ring time, extensions and numbers at any time.
Please note: When Auto-Attendant is first enabled, it will take priority over all other greetings. Even if you've assigned specific contacts unique greeting, the Auto-Attendant greeting will play for all callers but this can be changed. Click on the option Configure advanced menu settings directly under the Main Greeting listed in your Auto-Attendant settings menu. This will take you to a menu with two sections: One for callers that have been assigned personal greetings and one for callers that haven't selected an extension while listening to the greeting. Choose whatever settings you'd like and click Save.
While Auto-Attendant is enabled, you'll only be able to change your main greeting through the Auto-Attendant settings menu.
If you ever want to turn off your Auto-Attendant menu, simply click on the Power Icon to the right of Auto Attendant and your menu will be disabled.
