If your Smart Greeting is not working it could be for any of the following reasons:
- Your name was recorded incorrectly. If you did not include a phonetic key on how to pronounce your name when you submitted your recording request, your Smart Greeting may be incorrectly pronouncing it to your callers. You can re-submit a request to have your names recorded and please be sure to follow the pronunciation guide explained here.
- You might not have Smart Greeting for Business selected as your main greeting. To check if you have Smart Greeting for Business as your default setting, go online to your YouMail account, click on “Greetings” at the top of the page under the tab, My YouMail. On the left side of the page you will see My Greetings. Beneath this, click on “Main Greeting”. Please select Smart Greeting for to use it.
- Your Calls are not going to YouMail. You may have been disconnected from YouMail. You will need to reactivate call forwarding so that your calls will be directed to YouMail if you do not answer them and allow you to use your Smart Business Greeting. - You didn’t submit a recording request for your full name and company name. Since YouMail does not have audio files for most last names and company names, it is important that you request to have your names recorded by our voice talent so that Business Smart Greeting can properly greet your callers.
