Are your callers going straight to voicemail?
If you notice particular contacts no longer ringing your device but the History page shows they are not being blocked, it is possible that there are duplicate/multiple contacts created for the same phone number.
Notes:
-
YouMail uploads your contacts from the source (phone or CSV file), so it's imperative you remove duplicates from the source prior to importing your contacts.
- If you have yet to upload your contacts to YouMail, they may be sent straight to voicemail due to a spam report in the YouMail Directory or the call screening feature. You must upload your contacts to avoid this.
Navigate to Contacts and delete the duplicate(s)
- In order to check for duplicated contacts, log into your YouMail account via any web browser.
- Once in the account, select the People option in the left-hand menu pane then contacts.
- Once on the YouMail contacts page, use the search bar and look for the contact that is going straight to voicemail.
- It is best to search the numbers in the same format they show on the Contacts page.
EX: (xxx) xxx-xxxx
- Once the duplicate contact has been confirmed, you can delete one by selecting the check-box beside it and selecting the Actions button. Then select Delete to have the contact removed.
Once the duplicate has been removed, this should allow the caller to ring through to your device.
