Auto-Reply is a great necessity for many businesses to be able to communicate with their customers and to arrange for appointments or other business ventures.
However, some business owners prefer not to show their full names on those Auto-Replies.
To enable the Auto-Reply to not show your full name, you can follow these directions to fix that issue.
First, you will need to log in to your YouMail account at youmail.com
Next, you will then go to Settings and get into the section for Account Settings:
Under the "My Information" Tab, Under "Personal Information"
Here, you will see the user's name, last name, email, city and state (if they have it) and the corresponding Country. There, you will tap on the pencil in the top right corner.
You will then be able to edit the personal information on the account.
This is where you will want to change the last name, to a period "."
You will then click on the "Save" button at the bottom to save the change.
From here, you will then be able to go to the Auto-Reply Section, located in the left hand column.
Once there, you will be able to click on the "Eye" to preview the Auto-Reply message that is sent out, and see that the last name has been removed, and the first name is still showing with two periods "." after it.
The Eye will show you a preview of what the webpage for your Auto-Reply looks like (Example images shown below with and without last name)
Ensure this is to your own liking, and you will be done!
You have now successfully removed your last name from your Auto-Reply message's webpage!
Note: If you change the way your name appears in your account, it can affect how it's said in your Smart Greeting (i.e. it will just say your first name and not your last).
