As a YouMail user, there might come a time where you need to extend or shorten the amount of time that your caller can leave a voicemail. This article will walk you through the process to ensure that your callers have enough time to leave their messages.
Notes:
- If you are on a free account, your maximum voicemail length is three (3) minutes. For more time you will be prompted to upgrade to a paid subscription.
- To change your voicemail length you'll need to be signed in to your online account.
- There is no option greater than five (5) minutes and there is no option to set it to zero (0) seconds or remove the voicemail feature.

Change your Voicemail Length For Your Callers
- Click on Settings on the left-hand side.
- Once there, click on Mailbox
- This will lead you to your mailbox settings where you will see various other voicemail settings including Caller Settings. Click on the Edit button

- Once you've clicked the pencil icon you should see a section titled What's the maximum length voicemail you'd like callers to be able to leave? This is where you will get the option to either extend or shorten your voicemail length.
