As a YouMail user there might come a time where you need to extend or shorten the amount of time that your caller can leave a voicemail. This article will walk you though the process to ensure that your callers have enough time to leave their message.
If you are on a free account, your maximum voicemail length is three (3) minutes. For more time you will be prompted to upgrade to a paid subscription.
In order to change your voicemail length you'll need to be signed into your online account. You can do so by clicking this link : Sign in Here!
Once you've signed in you can follow the following steps:
- Click on Settings
- Once in settings, look at the left hand menu options and click on "Mailbox".
- This will lead you to your mailbox settings where you will see various other voicemail settings including "Caller Settings". Click on the pencil icon on the top right to edit.
- Once you've clicked the pencil icon you should see a section titled "What's the maximum length voicemail you'd like callers to be able to leave?" This is where you will get the option to either extend or shorten your voicemail length.
There is no option greater than five (5) minutes and there is no option to set it to zero (0) seconds or remove the voicemail feature.
