Not sure how to enable SMS text alerts?
If you would like to configure text message alerts for your voicemail, this article will assist you in doing just that.
Navigate to Settings
- To configure the setting, you will need to log into your YouMail account via a web browser. You can do so using this link: Click here to sign in
- Once you have logged into your account, select Settings in the left-hand menu pane as shown below.

Select VoiceMail to Text
- Once you have selected settings, select Voicemail to Text.

Initiate SMS Verification Prompt
- From the alerts configuring menu, you will see an option to configure the SMS alerts for your account. You will select the option Confirm Phone.

- Once you have clicked the option, YouMail automatically sends a 4 letter code to the phone number on file via SMS message. Please insert the code you received in the text bar and click Save.

Configure the Setting
- Once you have clicked save and the device has been confirmed, you will see the option, Configure SMS Alerts. You will be shown the options for which you can be alerted via SMS. Select the checkbox beside the options that you'd like to be notified about. You can change these at any time. Select Save.
