Blocking a range of numbers
YouMail makes this easy for you to block multiple numbers by using the iPhone wildcard feature. You can have a specific range of numbers blocked, versus having to individually block these numbers.
Notes:
- The setting does not play a "number out of service" greeting for similar numbers. It is only ringer protection.
- The Wildcard feature will only Silence the calls and will only be blocked if the calls are determined to be Spam.
- The iOS setting "Silence unknown Callers" will need to be enabled. You can find the setting by opening your iOS settings > Scroll down to "Phone" > Toggle "Silence unknown callers" on.
- When adding the number range, only the first six (6) digits are needed: (123)-456.
- Due to device limitations, only five (5) ranges are available to be listed at any given time.
- All calls will be sent to the account's default voicemail.

How to enable the wildcard feature:
Step One:
- In the YouMail App, Tap the Shield Icon located in the middle of the icon row at the bottom.
|
|
- In the top right-hand corner, select the three (3) dots and choose Protection Settings.
|
|
Step Two:
- From the protection settings, click Automatically Block These Callers and toggle on Block Number Ranges.
- Tap the setting again to add the desired number range.
|
|
Step Three:
- From this screen, select Add Custom Range.
|
|
Step Four:
- A pop-up will appear where you can enter the range of numbers you want to block.
- Only the first six (6) numbers are needed. All numbers beginning as (xxx)-xxx will be blocked.
|
|
Deleting Custom Ranges:
After following steps one through three, you will then see a list of all added ranges.
- On the selected range you'd like to remove, swipe left and hit delete.
