How to Allow Contacts Only – Help Center

Only allow contacts to ring through

YouMail's Call Protection filter has a setting that allows you to "Block everyone except my contacts." If you want to better filter who can contact you via phone calls, you can enable this in YouMail's settings in order to block incoming calls from numbers that are not in your YouMail Contact list. Never miss a call from your friends, family, or colleagues. Once the contact-only feature is turned on it will stop non-contacts from ringing through.

Notes:

This feature is for paid subscriptions.
Your contacts must be uploaded to YouMail.
YouMail uploads your contacts from the source (phone or CSV file), so if duplicates are being created in YouMail, it's imperative you remove duplicates for best results.

Login to Your Online Account

Sign in to www.YouMail.com
Enter your email or phone number as the username
Enter your password and select Sign In

Go to Call Protection Settings

Once you are signed in, select Call Protection
Select Settings
Click on Edit

Set Up How You Want Calls Handled

Select the option under Customize Call Protection for Block everyone except my contacts
Choose how we should handle blocked calls/known spammers
- Both options will prevent your phone from ringing but the out-of-service message will not allow non-contacts to leave a voicemail
Select Save
