Dial-In Voicemail Retrieval

The YouMail Dial-In Number allows you to get your messages from your phone by calling the number tied to your account and mailbox. This article will assist you in setting this up and, if necessary, updating the PIN on your account.

Notes:

The PIN cannot have 4 of the same numbers in a row. Eg. 0000
The PIN cannot have 4 sequential numbers in a row. Eg. 1234 or 9876
The PIN cannot have 4 numbers from one of your phone numbers in a row. For example, if your phone number ends in 1399, the PIN cannot be 139900 or 001399.

The Dial-In Number for your Mailbox can be located via the online account under the Phones tab.

Mailbox Pin:

For security reasons, the dial-in option for voicemail retrieval from your phone requires a PIN to be accessed. New customers are required to enable the dial-in option via the web. The instructions below will assist you in enabling the setting.

Log into your YouMail account here. On the left-hand menu pane, select Settings then select Mailbox. Select Edit under Dial-In Access.
If you have yet to enable Dial-In Access, please check the box to do so. This cannot be reversed. You can insert your new PIN here. Please note that the PIN must be 6-12 digits long. Ensure you click Save to update the PIN on the account.

Please note: The PIN is ONLY used when you're retrieving your messages using the Dial-In number as mentioned above. The PIN is not required via the app or the online account.
