Usage: What is it?

What is Usage, and why is it on my account?

The Usage view is meant to show four different things:

1. Mailbox Usage

2. Transcription Usage

3. Monthly Minutes

4. Current Month Minutes Usage

Mailbox Usage

Each plan has a mailbox limit. This usage overview shows your mailbox limit and the number and percentage of voicemails in your inbox, saved folder, and any other folders you create.

Transcription Usage

Each plan includes a transcription limit. This summary displays the amount and percentage used this month, along with the reset date.

Monthly Minutes

Shows the total number of minutes used each month.

Current Month Minutes Usage

For Free and Plus users, the 120-minute monthly allowance covers total voicemail activity, including time spent on your YouMail greeting for incoming calls, even if no voicemail is left. Exceeding this limit won’t interrupt voicemail service; it’s for monitoring only. For Essentials, Complete, and Ultimate subscribers, the monthly minutes apply to outbound calls on your extra line/lines, which actually offer unlimited outbound calling. No count applies.
