Configuring your Virtual Line on iOS.

Virtual Line Setup on iOS Devices.

This article will assist you in setting up and configuring the virtual line via the app on your mobile device.

Navigating to your Virtual Line











  • Open the YouMail App and select the gear icon (⚙️) in the upper left Corner.

  • Select the virtual line under Your Numbers.

  • Tap See More to view all numbers listed on the account.

  • Select the line you'd like to edit, and this menu should appear.

  • You can update the name/title of the line, how incoming calls are handled, and how calls are connected (inbound and outbound).

NB: The virtual line caller ID can only be enabled when calls are connected via "mobile voice" (data).

Auto Attendant and Conference room are only available for users on YouMail Complete / Ultimate or Grandfathered professional subscriptions.

Virtual Line Settings.



  • The Virtual Line can handle incoming calls in three (3) ways:

  1. Forwarding to the mainline.

  2. Forwarding externally.

  3. Going straight to voicemail.

  • If you'd like to answer the call or have it forwarded externally, you'll select "Forward Incoming calls".

  • Select "Forward To" and enter the phone number required.

NB: Going straight to voicemail doesn't require any additional configuration besides selecting the option.





  • To change the greeting, you'll tap on "Main Greeting" shown at the bottom of the menu.

    You can also preview the recording by tapping "Preview".

  • You'll have the option to either:

    1. Record a new greeting.
    2. Use the Smart Greeting.
    3. Choose an existing recording.

  • From the greetings list, you'll be able to switch from pre-recorded/uploaded greetings already on the account.
