Overview
Activating YouMail ensures that missed calls are forwarded to your YouMail inbox instead of your carrier or device voicemail. Whether you are setting up YouMail for the first time, reactivating after a carrier or device change, or troubleshooting call forwarding, this guide walks you through activation and verification on Android, iPhone, and the YouMail website.
Following the correct activation steps ensures that YouMail can receive voicemails, block spam calls, and function as intended.

How to activate Conditional Call Forwarding on the web
You can activate and verify YouMail from a desktop or laptop using the YouMail website.
To activate YouMail on the web, follow these steps:
Go to YouMail.com and sign in to your account.
Click Phone Lines from the left-hand menu.
Locate the phone line you want to activate.
Click the arrow next to Edit.
Select Activate YouMail to view your carrier’s manual activation instructions.
Dial the activation code exactly as shown, including any asterisk (*) or pound (#) symbols.
Return to the Phone Lines page and click Verify YouMail is Working.
Click Verify Phone Setup.
Decline the test call and wait for verification results.
Important
Do not answer the verification call during activation
If Wi-Fi calling is enabled, disable it before dialing activation codes
On iPhone, Apple Live Voicemail must be turned off for YouMail to work correctly
Notes
Manual activation requires dialing carrier-specific codes from your phone
Activation may need to be re-verified after iOS updates, Android updates, or carrier changes
If verification fails, your carrier may need to enable Conditional Call Forwarding directly
Tip
If activation or verification fails, contact your carrier and request Conditional Call Forwarding (Busy/No Answer/Unreachable) to your YouMail deposit number.
Pro tip
When speaking with your carrier, test missed calls in real time to confirm voicemails are being forwarded to YouMail successfully.
