To start using YouMail, you must install the app, forward your voicemail to YouMail, and verify your activation. This guide walks you through the complete setup process so you can begin managing your voicemail right away.


Before You Begin

Make sure you have:

  • A stable internet connection

  • Access to your phone for activation and verification

  • Your App Store or Google Play credentials


Step 1: Download the YouMail App

  1. Open the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play Store (Android)

  2. Search for YouMail

  3. Tap Install

  4. Tap Open once installation is complete


Step 2: Create or Sign In to Your Account

  1. Open the YouMail app

  2. Tap Join Now to create a new account
    Or tap Sign In if you already have an account

  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete registration


Step 3: Forward Your Voicemail to YouMail

  1. After signing in, the app will guide you through voicemail setup

  2. Follow the instructions to enable call forwarding with your carrier

  3. Enter any required activation codes when prompted

This allows unanswered, missed, and busy calls to forward to YouMail.


Step 4: Verify Your Activation

  1. YouMail will place a verification call to your phone

  2. Do not answer this call

  3. Allow the call to go to voicemail so YouMail can confirm forwarding

  4. Wait for the confirmation message in the app

Important: Answering the verification call will prevent activation from completing.


Troubleshooting Tips

  • Make sure call forwarding codes were entered correctly

  • Check that your phone has network coverage during setup

  • Restart your device if activation does not complete

  • Verify that Do Not Disturb is turned off during activation
