YouMail voicemail delivery: Ensure missed calls are routed to YouMail correctly
Carrier-managed setup: Configure forwarding directly through Spectrum’s official app
How to find your YouMail forwarding (deposit) number
Before activating call forwarding, you’ll need your YouMail deposit number. This is the number Spectrum forwards missed calls to so YouMail can record voicemails.
To locate your deposit number, follow these steps:
Sign in to your YouMail account at YouMail.com.
Click Phone Lines from the left-hand menu.
Locate your phone line and note the number listed under Deposit Number.
Important: This number must be entered exactly as shown during activation.
How to activate conditional call forwarding using the My Spectrum app
Activating conditional call forwarding with the My Spectrum app ensures missed calls are forwarded to YouMail instead of carrier voicemail.
To activate using the My Spectrum app, follow these steps:
Open the My Spectrum app and sign in.
Tap Services at the bottom of the screen.
Select Mobile from the top navigation bar.
Under Lines and Devices, tap your mobile number.

Complete identity verification by entering the SMS code sent to your phone.
Enable Busy Line & Missed Calls.
Enter your YouMail deposit number for both forwarding fields.
Tap Save.
Once saved, conditional call forwarding is active.
How to verify call forwarding is working
To confirm activation:
Have someone call your phone.
Do not answer the call.
Confirm the voicemail appears in your YouMail inbox.
Important
Call forwarding must be enabled on your Spectrum Mobile plan
The YouMail deposit number must be entered for both Busy Line and Missed Calls
If activation fails, Spectrum support may need to enable conditional call forwarding at the network level
Note
If you continue to experience issues, contact Spectrum Mobile support and request that conditional call forwarding be enabled manually.
Use the script below when speaking with your carrier:
“I want to enable conditional call forwarding (also known as Busy, No Answer, or Unavailable Call Forwarding) and forward all unanswered calls to [deposit number].”
Tip
After activation, recheck call forwarding if you change devices, reset network settings, or update your phone’s operating system.
