Use the Star Filter to Find Important Voicemails

Filter your inbox to quickly find starred voicemails on iOS and Android devices.

Overview

The Star filter helps you quickly organize and find important voicemails in your inbox. By starring voicemails you want to review later, you can easily filter your inbox to show only starred voicemails on iOS and Android devices. This feature is ideal for voicemails that are important but don’t require a separate folder.

How to use the Star filter on iOS devices

To use the Star filter on iOS devices, first star one or more messages, then filter your inbox to show starred messages only.

Star a Message

  1. Locate the voicemail you want to star in your inbox.

  2. Tap the star icon to the right of the message.

You can also star a message from the message details view:

  1. Open the message you want to star.

  2. Tap the star icon below the message timestamp.

Filter Starred Messages

  1. Go to the Inbox

  2. Pull down slightly to reveal Search.

  3. Select Starred.

Once you select the star tag, all starred messages will appear.


How to use the Star filter on Android devices

To use the Star filter on Android devices, star messages and then filter them using the search bar.

Star a Message

  1. Locate the message you want to star in your inbox.

  2. Tap the star icon at the end of the message.

Filter starred messages

  1. Tap the search bar in the inbox.

  2. Select the Starred tag.

Note: Starring a message does not move it to a new folder. It simply adds a tag so you can filter it later.


Tip: Use stars for time-sensitive messages you plan to review later.


Pro tip: Combine starred messages with search filters to quickly locate high-priority items in busy inboxes.
