YouMail Protection Screen

YouMail Protection has a new look!

The YouMail Protection screen in the iOS app has been updated to make it easier to take advantage of all the protective features YouMail has to offer. Check the steps below to see how to make the most of this updated page.

Notes:

  • Your level of protection will increase the more you enable the features designed to increase your security and privacy.

  • The maximum level of protection possible for a free account is Medium High. You can upgrade to Plus or higher to further your protection.

  • Any card with a diamond icon indicates that a paid plan is necessary to access it.

Ensuring you are protected







  • Selecting the Protection icon (shield) at the bottom center of your app will bring you to the Protection screen.

  • In order to ensure protection, you will first need to enable Spam Blocking. Beneath the Protection Meter, you will see an option to Enable.

    You can also tap the "Call Protection" button to turn the setting on.

  • You will also want to make sure you have Call Blocking permissions enabled. The new protection screen will have a card listed Call Blocking beneath the section Take Steps to Maximize Your Safety.

  • After enabling Call Blocking within your iOS settings, the spam list will begin to load on your device.

  • Once completed, those initial steps will change your protection meter from disabled to Low, Medium, or High Protection depending upon how many Steps you completed.

  • You can enable additional blocking settings, including,

    1. Screen Unknown callers
    2. Block Unknown Callers.
    3. Block International Numbers.
    4. Block Private Callers.
    5. Block Number Ranges
    6. Block Unknown Local Numbers.
