YouMail VoIP calling allows Professional plan users to make and receive calls directly from the YouMail iPhone app using Wi-Fi or data. VoIP calling works through YouMail Extra Lines and does not require active carrier service. This article explains how to access VoIP calling on Android and iPhone and manage inbound and outbound call settings.

How to use VoIP calling on iPhone
Using VoIP calling on iPhone lets you place and receive calls through the YouMail app using your virtual number.
To use VoIP calling on iPhone, follow these steps:
Open the YouMail app on your iPhone
Tap the Settings (gear) icon in the top left corner
2. Choose the Virtual Number to enable VoIP calling under the Virtual Number section
3. Configure Inbound and Outbound Call Handling settings as needed
4. Adjust the Connect By to control how VoIP calls connect
How to use VoIP calling on Android
Using VoIP calling on Android lets you place and receive calls through the YouMail app using your virtual number.
1. Open the YouMail app on your Android phone
2. Tap the three lines in the top left corner
3. Select Settings
4. Select Phone Lines
5. Choose the Virtual Number to enable VoIP calling under the Virtual Number section
6. Configure Inbound and Outbound Call Handling settings as needed
7. Adjust the Connect By to control how VoIP calls connect
Important: VoIP calling requires a Professional plan and an active YouMail Extra Line. This feature is not available on free or basic plans.
Note:
VoIP calls can be made over Wi-Fi or mobile data and do not require carrier service on your iPhone or Android.

For the best call quality, connect to a strong Wi-Fi network when using VoIP calling.
