When Contact Sync is enabled, any contact you add or update on your phone is automatically reflected in the YouMail app. This article explains how to enable or disable Contact Sync in YouMail on iPhone in just a few steps.

How to enable or disable Contact Sync on iPhone
Enabling or disabling Contact Sync on iPhone allows you to control whether your phone’s contacts automatically sync with the YouMail app.
To enable or disable Contact Sync, follow these steps:
Open the YouMail app on your iPhone and tap Contacts in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
Tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner of the screen.
Toggle Auto-sync contacts on to enable Contact Sync.
To disable Contact Sync, toggle Auto-sync contacts off.
(Optional) Enable Auto Save Contacts to automatically save contacts added in YouMail back to your iPhone.
Once enabled, your iPhone contacts will automatically upload to the YouMail app.
Important: YouMail requires contact access permissions on your iPhone for Contact Sync to work correctly. Make sure contact access is allowed in your iOS settings.
How to enable or disable Contact Sync on Android
Enabling or disabling Contact Sync on Android lets you control whether your phone’s contacts automatically sync with the YouMail app.
To enable or disable Contact Sync, follow these steps:
Open the YouMail app on your Android device.
Tap the Menu (☰) icon in the top-left corner of the screen.
Tap Settings.
Select Data and Privacy.
Select App settings and then Contacts ]
Tap the Auto-sync Contacts checkbox to turn Contact Sync on or off.
Once enabled, your Android phone contacts will automatically sync with the YouMail app.
Important: YouMail must have permission to access your contacts on Android for Contact Sync to function properly. Make sure contact permissions are enabled in your device settings.
Note: Turning off Contact Sync prevents future updates but does not remove contacts already synced to YouMail.
Tip:
Keep Contact Sync enabled to improve caller identification and ensure the correct greeting plays for each caller.
If a contact name is not announced correctly, resync your contacts by toggling Auto-sync Contacts off and back on.
