Overview
YouMail Call Protection requires iPhone Call Blocking & Identification permissions to be enabled in iOS settings. If these permissions are off, YouMail cannot block or identify calls reliably. How to enable YouMail call blocking and identification on iPhone
Enabling call blocking and identification allows YouMail to block and identify calls on your iPhone when Call Protection is turned on.
To enable call blocking and identification on iPhone, follow these steps:
Open the iOS Settings app.
Tap Apps.
Scroll or search and select Phone.
Scroll to the bottom and locate Call Blocking & Identification.
Tap Call Blocking & Identification.
Turn on YouMail 1 of 2 and YouMail 2 of 2.
How to enable SMS / Call Reporting on iPhone
Enabling SMS / Call Reporting allows YouMail to help report spam numbers from your iPhone call log.
To enable SMS / Call Reporting on iPhone, follow these steps:
Open the iOS Settings app.
Tap Apps.
Select Phone.
Tap SMS / Call Reporting.
Turn on YouMail.
Important: YouMail call blocking and identification permissions must remain enabled for Call Protection to work properly.
Note: If you use YouMail only for voicemail and transcription, enabling these permissions is still recommended. Make sure Call Protection in the YouMail app is turned off if you do not want call blocking active.
