This guide explains how to manually reset the spam number list in the YouMail app on both Android and iPhone to ensure spam blocking continues to work properly.

How to reset the spam number list on Android
Resetting the spam number list refreshes YouMail’s protection against known spammers. To reset the spam number list in the Android app, follow these steps:
Open the YouMail app.
Tap the Protection (shield) icon at the bottom of the screen.
Select Known Spammers.
Once opened, the spam number list refreshes automatically, and your spam list is reset.
Important: If required permissions are disabled, the spam number list may not refresh correctly.
Note: Large volumes of spam reports can occasionally delay automatic updates.
Tip: Restart your phone after resetting the list if spam calls continue.
How to reset the spam number list on iPhone
Resetting the spam number list on iPhone refreshes YouMail’s spam protection and applies the latest known spam numbers. To reset the spam number list in the iOS app, follow these steps:
Open the YouMail app.
Tap the Protection (shield) icon at the bottom of the screen.
Tap known Spammers.
Tap Reset in the upper right-hand corner.
Select confirm.
Opening the Known Spammers list automatically refreshes the spam number list.
Important: Spam blocking on iPhone requires Call Blocking & Identification to be enabled in iOS settings.
Note: Changes may take a few moments to apply after refreshing the list.
Tip: Close and reopen the YouMail app after resetting the list for best results.
Before resetting, confirm these settings
Ensure the following settings are enabled so YouMail can properly block spam calls:
YouMail Directory
In the YouMail app, go to Settings > Caller ID > Use YouMail Directory and confirm it is enabled.Device permissions
Android: Go to Settings > Apps > YouMail > Permissions and ensure all permissions are allowed
iPhone: Go to Settings > Phone > Call Blocking & Identification and enable YouMail
