How to check your voicemail on the YouMail website

Checking voicemail on the YouMail website allows you to listen to messages and manage them with additional tools not available in the app.

To check your voicemail online, follow these steps:

  1. Go to YouMail.com

  2. Click Sign In and log in to your account

  3. Select Voicemail from the left-hand menu

  4. Click Inbox to view and listen to your voicemail messages

Important: The website provides more options than the app, including downloading, forwarding, and sharing voicemail messages.

Note: Text messages for virtual numbers appear under Messages on Professional plans.


How to check your voicemail from a landline or another phone

You can listen to your YouMail voicemail from any phone by calling your YouMail Dial-In number. This is useful if you don’t have access to your mobile device.

To check voicemail using the Dial-In feature, follow these steps:

Step 1: Find your Dial-In number and PIN

  1. Sign in to YouMail.com

  2. Click Phones

  3. Locate your Dial-In Phone Number

  4. Note your YouMail PIN

Important: A PIN is required to access voicemail by phone. If no PIN is listed, you must create one before calling in.

Step 2: Call in to your voicemail

  1. From any phone or landline, call your Dial-In Phone Number

  2. When prompted, enter the phone number associated with your YouMail account

  3. Enter your YouMail PIN

  4. Follow the voice prompts to listen to your voicemail


How to create or update your YouMail PIN

If you don’t have a PIN set or need to change it:

  1. Sign in to YouMail.com

  2. Click Settings

  3. Select Mailbox

  4. Create or update your PIN

  5. Click Save

Tip: Please make sure your PIN appears under Phones after saving.


How to check your voicemail from your cell phone using the YouMail app

You can call directly into your YouMail voicemail inbox from the mobile app using your retrieval number.

Note: If you do not have access to the YouMail app, contact [email protected] to request your retrieval number.


Check voicemail from the iPhone app

To check your voicemail using the iPhone app, follow these steps:

  1. Open the YouMail app

  2. Click the Voicemail icon all the way in the bottom left-hand corner.


Check voicemail from the Android app

To check your voicemail using the Android app, follow these steps:

  1. Open the YouMail app and go to your inbox

  2. Tap the three dots (⋮) in the top-right corner

  3. Tap Check Voicemail

  4. The call screen will open with your retrieval number

  5. Tap Call to connect to your voicemail
