  1. Open the YouMail app and tap the Menu (☰) icon in the top-left corner of the screen

  2. Tap Settings

  4. Toggle Auto-Forwarding to the On position

  5. Adjust the Auto-Forwarding settings as needed. Enter the YouMail phone numbers or email addresses where voicemails should be forwarded, and set a custom message for recipients

  6. Tap Save to apply your Auto-Forwarding settings

Important: Only phone numbers associated with an active YouMail account can be added as forwarding destinations.

Note: Auto-Forwarding must be enabled for each YouMail account individually.

Tip: Add an email address as a forwarding destination to keep a searchable archive of voicemails.

Pro tip: Use a short, descriptive custom message so recipients immediately understand why the voicemail was forwarded.

  1. Open the YouMail app and tap the Settings gear icon in the top-left corner of the screen

  2. Tap Business Features

  3. Toggle Auto-Forwarding to the On position

Important: Only phone numbers associated with an active YouMail account can be added to the Phones section.

Note: You can add multiple email addresses and supported phone numbers as forwarding destinations.

How to set up Auto-Forwarding on the web

To set up Auto-Forwarding from the YouMail website, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to your YouMail account at the official website

  2. On the left side of the screen, click Settings, then select Voicemail To Text

  3. Scroll down and click Configure Auto Forwarding

  4. Toggle the Auto-Forwarding switch to the On position

  5. Configure the forwarding settings to your preference. Enter the email addresses or YouMail accounts you want messages forwarded to, and set any custom message

  6. Click Save to apply your Auto-Forwarding settings

Important: Auto-Forwarding requires a Complete, Ultimate, Solo, Growth, Small Business, or Professional plan.
