This guide walks you through disabling Fido voicemail, locating your YouMail deposit number, and dialing the correct activation codes to ensure YouMail handles your voicemails correctly.

How to deactivate Fido voicemail
Before activating call forwarding, Fido’s voicemail must be removed from your line.
To deactivate Fido voicemail, follow these steps:
Dial 611 from your Fido phone.
Press 2 to speak with a Fido representative.
Ask the agent to remove the existing Fido voicemail from your account.
Confirm that Call Display and Call Forwarding are enabled on your plan.
Important: Call forwarding must be included on your Fido plan in order for YouMail to work.
How to find your YouMail forwarding (deposit) number
You’ll need your YouMail deposit number before activating call forwarding.
To locate your deposit number, follow these steps:
Sign in to your YouMail account at YouMail.com.
Click Phone Lines from the left-hand menu.
Locate your phone line and note the number listed under Deposit Number.
Important: Ensure your YouMail deposit number is local to avoid long-distance charges. If it is not local, contact [email protected] to request a local number.
How to activate conditional call forwarding with Fido
Activating conditional call forwarding ensures all missed calls are forwarded to YouMail.
To activate conditional call forwarding, dial the following codes from your Fido phone:
Dial *62*[Deposit number]# and tap Call
This forwards calls when your phone is unreachableDial *61*[Deposit number]# and tap Call
This forwards calls when there is no answerDial *67*[Deposit number]# and tap Call
This forwards calls when your line is busy
Important: Be sure to include all * and # symbols exactly as shown.
How to verify call forwarding is working
Have someone call your phone.
Do not answer the call.
Confirm the voicemail appears in your YouMail inbox.
Important
Fido voicemail must be fully removed before activation
Call forwarding must be included on your Fido plan
Long-distance charges may apply if the deposit number is not local
Note
If activation does not work after dialing the codes, contact Fido support and ask them to enable conditional call forwarding (Busy, No Answer, Unreachable) manually using your YouMail deposit number.
