How to Create a YouMail Account from the Web

Creating a YouMail account from the web lets you set up voicemail and activate Conditional Call Forwarding for your carrier. This guide walks you through signing up on the website, entering your account details, and verifying your phone is forwarding correctly.


How to create a YouMail account from the web

To create a YouMail account from the web, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the website at YouMail.com.

  2. Enable cookies at the bottom of the screen to continue browsing the site.

  3. Click Get Started in the center of the page or in the top-right corner.

  4. Enter the phone number you want to use with YouMail.
    Make sure your carrier is compatible with the service.

  5. Review the Terms of Service, select the checkbox to accept the terms, then click Continue.

  6. Select your carrier and plan, then click Continue.

  7. Confirm your phone number and carrier, then enter the required account information:

    • First name

    • Last name

    • Device type

    • Email address

    • Password

  8. Select the radio button that best describes the type of calls you receive.

  9. Click Create Account.

Your YouMail account is now created.

Important: Your email address or phone number and password will be used as your login credentials.

Note: If you forget your password, select Forgot Password to receive a reset link by email or SMS.


Password requirements

When setting your password, make sure it meets all of the following requirements:

  • 8–30 characters in length

  • Includes uppercase and lowercase letters

  • Includes a number or special character

Tip: Use a strong, unique password that you don’t use on other websites.


Activate Conditional Call Forwarding from the web

To activate your carrier’s Conditional Call Forwarding from the web, follow these steps:

  1. From the left-hand menu, select Phones.

  2. Locate the phone number you’re setting up and click the drop-down arrow next to Edit.

  3. Select Forward to YouMail.

  4. Follow the on-screen instructions exactly as shown.
    Dial the codes just as if you are making a call, including all * and # symbols.

  5. Once complete, click I Finished Setup.

  6. Click Confirm Phone Setup to receive a test call.
    Do not answer the test call.

If the test call is successful, your phone is forwarding correctly to YouMail.

Important: Answering the test call will cause the activation check to fail.

Pro tip: If activation fails, double-check the dialing codes and repeat the steps exactly as shown for your carrier.
