How to use Privacy Scan

Step 1: Access Privacy Scan

  1. Sign in to your YouMail account dashboard

  2. Select Privacy Scan from the left-side menu

  3. Or go directly to:


Step 2: Run your scan

  1. Enter your:

    • First name

    • Last name

    • Age or birth year

    • City

    • State

  2. Select Run Free Scan

  3. Wait up to 90 seconds for the scan to complete

Important:

  • Do not refresh the page

  • Do not close the browser tab

  • Interrupting the scan requires restarting the process


Step 3: Review your results

  1. View the total number of exposures discovered

  2. Review which data broker sites contain your information

  3. If needed, rerun the scan using updated information


Step 4: Start the removal process

  1. Select Remove All Info

  2. Monitor the dashboard progress bar as removals are processed

  3. Review tabs showing:

    • Removed items

    • In-progress removals

    • Pending actions


Step 5: Complete any required actions

Some sites require additional verification steps before removal can be completed.

  1. Look for the red triangle indicator

  2. Open the Action Required section

  3. Follow the provided instructions for each site

  4. Mark completed actions using the checkbox provided
