How to purchase and set up YouMail Identify

Purchasing and setting up YouMail Identify allows you to claim your phone number, verify ownership, and activate your benefits immediately.

To purchase and set up YouMail Identify, follow these steps:

Step 1: Find your number in the YouMail Directory

  1. Visit the YouMail Directory.

  2. Sign in to your YouMail account in the top-right corner if you have one.

  3. Search for your phone number.

  4. Select I Own This Number beneath your number listing.

Step 2: Enter your display name

  1. Enter the name you want to display in the YouMail Directory.

  2. Confirm the name you entered.

Note:
This name will appear to all YouMail subscribers once you complete the upgrade.

Step 3: Verify ownership

  1. If you do not have a YouMail account, create one when prompted.

  2. Verify ownership of your number via SMS by entering the code you receive.

If you cannot verify via SMS:

  • Select Continue without Verifying to proceed to purchase.

Important:


If you continue without SMS verification, you will be required to submit a copy of your phone bill after purchase to complete ownership verification.

Step 4: Complete your purchase

  1. After verification, you will be taken to the payment screen.

  2. Select Upgrade Now.

  3. Enter your payment method.

  4. Select Pay now.

YouMail Identify is billed annually upfront and renews automatically each year unless canceled.

After purchase:

  1. Your number immediately displays a Verified Owner badge.

  2. Any Spam Calls Detected labels are removed.

  4. Return to your number in the YouMail Directory and select Manage to update information or view events.


How to manage your YouMail Identify listing

Managing your YouMail Identify listing allows you to update your display name, company details, and view activity related to your number.

To manage your listing, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to your YouMail account.

  2. Navigate to your number in the YouMail Directory.

  3. Select Manage beneath your phone number.

  4. Update your information, including name, company, or additional details.

  5. Select Save to apply changes.

All activity related to your number, including safe or spam reports from YouMail subscribers, is displayed beneath your directory listing.


How to cancel your YouMail Identify subscription

Canceling your YouMail Identify subscription stops future renewals and ends service at the conclusion of your current billing period.

To cancel your subscription, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to your number in the YouMail Directory.

  2. Select Manage.

  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page.

  4. Select Cancel subscription.

  5. Review the cancellation terms.

  6. Select Cancel to confirm.
