This article will assist you in having your account closed. Please be reminded that closing the account and deactivating the conditional call forwarding are NOT the same thing. It's important that you follow the instructions provided to deactivate the conditional call forwarding so that your missed calls can be handled by your carrier once the account is deleted.
Notes:
- Subscriptions purchased through the App store must be canceled via the Subscriptions tab within iOS settings.
- Canceling an In-App Purchase (AKA IAP) stops the automatic billing but keeps the plan active until the end of the subscription period (monthly or annual). You can choose whether you want to continue using the service until it expires or not.
- Refunds for IAPs must be handled through Apple. You can find instructions here.

Close Account in App
- Open the YouMail App on your device and select the menu in the upper left (☰) and then the gear icon in the bottom left-hand corner.

- At the bottom of the settings page, select the option Data & Privacy.
|
|
- Select Request Account Deletion.
|
|
From here depending on your subscription type free or paid (In-App Purchase / Direct Billing), you will see either screen pop up:
For IAP (In-App Purchases)
|
- You will need to follow the instructions provided in order to cancel the subscription via the iOS subscriptions tab.
- Open iOS Settings App> Tap your name> Tap subscriptions> Then tap YouMail.
- Select the option to cancel the subscription.
*Once done successfully, you will be opted out of the automatic renewal. You can choose whether you want to use the plan until the expiration date. If you have canceled your app store plan and want to close your account now, please reach out here: YouMail Support - Submit a Ticket Here!

For Direct Billing (through YouMail)
|
- You will be brought to the account page for your YouMail account. Scroll to the bottom of the page and select the Close Account button.

- Select the Go to Billing button in order to manage your active subscription(s).
|
|
- Selecting the Change Plan button will give you the option to either upgrade or cancel.
- Select the Cancel Plan button.
|
|
For Free Accounts or After Canceling Your Subscription
|
- The app will automatically prompt you if you are sure you would like to cancel. You are prompted twice to ensure that there are no mistakes made since cancellations are final.
- Select the Continue option until you have received confirmation that your order has been cancelled.
