YouMail’s Smart Blocking feature helps protect you from robocalls, telemarketers, spammers, and other unwanted calls. If a spam call gets through and is not automatically blocked, you can manually report the number. Each report helps improve YouMail’s ability to detect and block similar calls in the future.
Important Notes Before Reporting
Calls that do not reach your YouMail voicemail (for example, if the caller hangs up early or you answer the call) will not appear in your YouMail call history.
To ensure suspected spam calls appear in your history, you may decline the call so it is routed to your YouMail voicemail.
iOS only: You can also report numbers directly from the native iPhone call log, and submit numbers as safe if they were blocked incorrectly.

FAQ
1. Why should I report a spam number?
Reporting helps YouMail improve its spam-detection system. The more reports a number receives, the better YouMail becomes at identifying and blocking similar calls for you and other users.
2. Why don’t I see the call in my YouMail history?
If the call was answered or the caller hung up before reaching voicemail, it won’t appear in your history. Declining suspected spam calls ensures they are routed to voicemail and logged.
3. What does "consent" mean when reporting?
Consent indicates whether you previously gave permission to be contacted by that caller (for example, signing up for a service or providing your phone number).
4. Do the call labels mean the number is spam?
No, they do not automatically mean the number is spam. Labels only provide context, for example, telemarteking etc. A number listed as spam will have a spam label.
5. Can I report a number without the YouMail app?
Yes, numbers can be reported through the YouMail website, and iOS users can also report directly from the native Phone app once SMS/Call Reporting is enabled.
