Enabling Smart Blocking

Learn how to block unwanted callers using YouMail Smart Blocking on iPhone, Android, or the web.

Overview

Smart Blocking in YouMail helps stop unwanted calls by identifying and blocking numbers you report as spam. Once a caller is blocked, YouMail can answer the call with a disconnected message or other blocking greeting. This guide explains how to enable Smart Blocking by reporting a caller from the YouMail app or website.

How to enable Smart Blocking on iPhone

To enable Smart Blocking on iPhone by reporting a caller as spam, follow these steps:

  1. Open the YouMail app.

  2. Tap the History tab (clock icon).

  4. Tap the Block icon underneath the phone number.

  5. Tap Report Spam.

  6. Fill out the Caller Name and Comments fields if you have that information.
